Uttar Pradesh Police faces Ghost Problem

UP Police ordered to trace 'ghost' harassing Allahabad residents
After getting the order of tracing UP minister Azam Khan's buffaloes, the Uttar Pradesh police has been given this time a bizarre task of tracking a 'ghost' which is repeatedly harassing the residents of Allahabad.

Rumours have been spread about a witch being observed near Sant Nirankari Railway Crossing in the city. People are circulating the news through whatsapp and other social media.

This has lead to the SSP ordering Keedganj police to find out about the incident as police suspect this could be a gang looting people in ghost attire.

Nepal's agriculture minister resigned Thursday following a storm of criticism after videos and photographs of him attempting to hug women during recent festival celebrations were posted online, officials said.

Surya Thapa, a spokesman for Parajuli's Unified Marxist-Leninist (UML) party, told AFP, "the photos and videos showed that his behaviour were indecent, he should not have crossed the boundary of public decorum."

"He resigned after taking note of the public's comments and allegations against him," Thapa said.

Prime Minister Sushil Koirala's press advisor confirmed acceptance of his resignation.

Authorities introduced women-only minibuses in Kathmandu in January in a bid to protect female passengers from sexual assault.

Human's able to Postpone Death

The drug also has the potential to improve a person’s health in later years and reduce the end-of-life period of sickness and dependency.

Researchers have shown for the first time that a skin cancer drug can slow the ageing process and extend a patient’s lifespan by delaying age-related death.

Dr Cathy Slack from the team at University College London spearheading the study, called the findings “a significant step on the way to developing treatments that delay the onset of ageing”.

The drug, called Trametinib, works by limiting the cell growth that causes cancer. It targets the effects of a protein called Ras which is critical as people get older. Scientists believe that by tweaking the drug they can make it safe to administer without patients suffering any potential harmful side effects.

Dr Slack said: “The molecular pathway is the same in humans as it is in flies and because the Ras protein plays a key role in cancer, many small molecule drugs already exist, some of which have been approved for clinical use.

“With support from the pharmaceutical industry, we can refine these molecules over the next 10 to 20 years to develop antiageing treatments which don’t have the adverse effects of cancer drugs. “Identifying the importance of the pathway in animal ageing is a significant step on the way to developing treatments that delay the onset of ageing.”
