Award winner Vidya Balan’s super hit movie Dirty Picture grossed over 100 crores and has given the Super Star Khans a run for their money in Bollywood.
The movie was inspired by life of southern sexy bombshell, Silk Smita. But what about Jayamalini who is probably more popular than anyone when it comes to vamp roles and cabaret songs? The actress was a must in movies of 70s and early 80s.
Aarti Agarwal who was earlier seen with big ticket actors including Mahesh, Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Nagarjuna, NTR and even Prabhas is now set to do the main lead in a movie based on the cabaret dancer directed by Siva Nagu and produced by Srikant Reddy, G Nageswar Rao and KL Rao under the banner Amaravathi Creations.
The movie is an on-screen adaptation of a novel titled ‘Cabaret Dancer’ written by novelist Challa Subrahmanyam and Aarti Agarwal will be playing dual roles for the movie. It remains to be seen how Aarti can impress in mass numbers!
