The fondness to use high-end gadgets and mobile phones, led a 13 year old minor girl to enter prostitution a year ago. The incident happened in Gujarat, where the girl revealed stunning facts about why she has opted for flesh trade.
Originally from Anand, the girls parents adopted her as an infant and later shifted to Vadodara. The father of the teenager had died three years ago. The mother runs a grocery shop to support the family. A rift had developed in the mother-daughter relationship after the father's death. However, the girl told her mother about her issue, when she thought that she had become pregnant.
Her mother was shocked about her turning to prostitution. The girl refused to budge, when her mother tried to explain that prostitution is illegal and immoral. Then mother called up a counsellor of 181 Abhayam service for help. The girl admitted that she was unable to buy electronic gadgets, that her friends used because lack of money and opted the route of prostitution.
She had been working as a prostitute independently and booked her clients through a secret secondary phone. She used the vacant available house to carry out her work, before her mother returned home from the shop.
