Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali Yoga Peeth is known for providing natural and herbal treatment, but the pharmacy is in a limelight for all the wrong reasons.
It is reportedly selling a medicine which claims to help women give birth to a baby boy.
Patanjali Pharmacies, a chain of shops owned by the Yoga Guru, is selling ayurvedic medicine ‘Divya Putrajeevak Seed’ – an herbal treatment of infertility.
Although the packaging of the medicine does not clearly mention that it is beneficial for bearing a male child, but the name is misleading. Even some sites which sell these products are making such claims.
“According to Ayurveda this herb helps in achieving a baby boy but this is a matter of research. But people in India say that it is very effective in getting a baby boy,” claims one such website.
